AT&T Community Action Report

The AT&T Performing Arts Center is a Dallas icon in the heart of the Arts District.

From operas to comedies, they host hundreds of events every year and are also known for their involvement in the community that help ensure access to the arts for everyone in Dallas. Like many organizations, the AT&T Performing Arts Center depends on donations from the community in addition to the revenue from their events. Each year they publish a community engagement report that highlights the events, activities and programs the center put on as well as the impact the donations made. In 2017, after many years of the report feeling the same, the AT&T Performing Arts Center asked us to come in and shake things up, so we did just that.

They only had one requirement - they didn’t want to spend a ton of money on fancy printing techniques or high shipping costs because those were dollars that could be put back into the community.

So we owned that idea and created an annual report that was inspired by zines, felt grassroots, and most definitely didn’t look like their previous annual reports. We also cut down on printing costs by creating a two-color piece that was printed on newsprint. The report used a mix of photography provided by the client and custom illustrations.
